In Memory of

W. Thomas Suttle

Tom Suttle, 27-year IEEE employee and IEEE-USA Staff/Managing Director from 1994-2004, passed away at his winter home in Ft. Lauderdale on 26 April following an illness, according to John Moshier, his companion of 28 years. Tom was 59 years old. From 1977-2004, he helped lead a team that produced retirement security reforms for the engineering profession and that established IEEE-USA Government Fellowships. Tom's IEEE colleagues recall fondly his intelligence, support and generosity, steadiness and unflappability, dignity, joie de vivre, work/life balance, and wry sense of humor. Plans for a memorial are pending.   Obituary
