How the SBA/IEEE-USA Partnership
Can Help Engineering Entrepreneurs
Moderators:
Penny Pickett About: To assist high-tech
entrepreneurs starting new businesses,
IEEE-USA and the U.S. Small Business
Administration (SBA) have agreed to work
in cooperation to promote, strengthen
and expand small business development
throughout the country. This agreement
will benefit IEEE members who are
starting their own technology-based
businesses. Under the agreement, SBA
will provide IEEE-USA with information
about its programs and services, make
available information about SBA?s
resource partners, provide speakers to
participate in IEEE-USA events to
discuss SBA financing, government
contracting and other business topics.
This webinar will give a general
overview of the SBA that touches upon
the partnership and the range of
services/products that will benefit
IEEE-USA membership. [Register]
These
four special webinars were developed with
IEEE-USA Annual Meeting attendees in mind.
IEEE volunteers both new and old will find these
webinars helpful for running professional
activities programs at the local level; for
gaining a better understanding about IEEE-USA
and its programs; for securing external
financial support for local IEEE activities; and
for learning more about the new IEEE Global
History Network.
