Development Opportunities

IEEE-USA
is an organizational unit of the Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers, Inc. created in 1973 to support the
careers and public policy interests of IEEE's U.S. members.
IEEE-USA's mission as outlined in the IEEE Bylaws is to
recommend policies and implement programs specifically
intended to serve and benefit the members, the profession,
and the public in the United States in appropriate
professional areas of economic, ethical, legislative, social
and technology policy concern. Our vision is to serve the
IEEE U.S. member by being the technical professional's best
resource for achieving life long career vitality and by
providing an effective voice on policies that promote U.S.
prosperity. Our programs are supported through a special
assessment of IEEE’s U.S. members, through sales of products
and services, and by member gifts and contributions to the
IEEE-USA Fund administered by the IEEE Foundation.
The opportunities to serve IEEE’s U.S. members and to help
IEEE adapt these services for the benefit of non-U.S.
members are much broader than the resources currently
available. The following is a list of specific IEEE-USA
programs and initiatives that could be significantly
enhanced through tax exempt gifts to the IEEE-USA
Fund administered by the
IEEE Foundation. For more information on
specific opportunities, click on the program headings of
interest below for more detailed
program descriptions.
To hold a personal and confidential discussion of giving
opportunities, please contact the IEEE Development Office by
